Alice’s Teakettle

This still life has a story. The copper teakettle featured here belonged to my GG Grandmother Alice Wrigley Kenyon. Poor Alice died in 1863 at the age of 30
in Bury, Lancashire, England. Her husband remarried and emigrated to the US with his 2nd wife and Alice’s children in 1870. My Gr. Grandfather was about 9 at the time. His job on the long voyage was to take care of his departed mother’s precious teapot. The teapot has made it safely down through 4 generations and now to me. I thought a painting of it might be a way to remember Alice.
